Car Controls

 

A) Window demisters

1) Front doors and windscreen demister. In the tuition car you press this button. In other cars you may need to twist some dials, refer to your car handbook.

2) Rear window demister. Most cars will have this button to demist the rear window, you press it to activate.

It is the driver’s responsibility to not let the glass get to the point you can no longer see through it, for example the glass to your door mirrors needs to be clear to use them.

 

B) Left side stalk

In the tuition car the left stalk activates the indicator signal to the direction you are going. To turn right you push up to the ceiling. To turn left you push down to the floor.

M) This is your main beam. The dipped beam needs to be on for the main beam to work. You push the stalk to the front of the car to activate the main beam and you will know when it is on as you will get the blue jellyfish light up on the car dash. If you only want to flash the lights, to make another road user aware of your presence, then you pull the stalk to the back of the car.

1) Controls your intermittent wiper frequency.

2 & 3) Clean your windows. You push the lever to the front of the car and hold to clean the rear windscreen. If you just lightly click it forward it will activate the rear wiper. To turn it back off you pull it lightly to the back of the car. If you pull it towards the back of the car and hold it will clean the front windscreen, just release it after the water jets out and they will stop automatically.

4) Is your auto wiper button, operated by pushing the button in.

5) If you push the wiper down to the floor gently it does one swipe. If you push it up gently to the ceiling once and you get a steady swiping, up twice faster swiping.

C) Right side stalk

D) Light switches

1) These are your fog lights. Push once to turn on and again to turn off. You will know they are on by the green and orange jellyfish facing each other on the dash.

2) The tuition car has auto lights function. Turn the dial to here and the cars sensors will determine if side lights or dipped beam are needed.

3) Turn the dial to face here to put your side lights on.

4) Turn the dial to face here to put on your dipped beam. Dipped beam is the normal light setting for night time when driving in areas that have street lights.

5) in this tuition car this dial controls how dim or bright your console lights are.

E) Electric door mirrors

To adjust the door mirrors this is the control for them. You slide the slider to the side you want to adjust then use the arrow dial to move them.

 

H) Hazard lights switch

This symbol is universal for all vehicles
